Default Strange positive camber problem

So its been like forever since I've posted on honda-tech, but a lot has happened with my car recently, it actually runs, and I actually drove it, first time in almost 5 years. I'll make a thread about that when I return to the dyno to finish tuning (broke the trans mid-session last time)

Anyway, I've got a strange camber problem, the car has a 5 lug swap from a 00 prelude on it and for some reason, the camber on only the driver side is positive, maybe +2 or so, pretty bad, and the car is lowered, making it even more a mystery. The passenger side is fine.

I replaced the upper control arm with an OEM honda one with a new ball joint thinking that had something to do with it, I also installed a Ingalls camber kit and replaced the wheel bearing, the car still has about the same amount of positive camber. All I can think at this point is the knuckle is somehow bent unless anyone has other ideas? Car has never been in an accident, and it DID NOT have this problem prior to the five lug swap.

I'm beating my head in over this, and I've already blown about $300 trying to figure out whats wrong. All I am going to do at this point is pull both knuckles and see if one is bent.

Thanks in advance......

Man, that sucks. Is the 5-lug swap just the knuckles or did you touch any of the subframe? Is the wheel bearing tight? Any play?

It shouldn't take too long to swap in the old knuckle and see if the issue persists. Is it possible that you just recently noticed and might have been an issue on the old knuckle?

Just the knuckles up front, like I said the passenger side is fine, so it has to be something isolated to that side. There is a SMALL amount of play in the bearing, like less than 1/32nd in and out, on both sides. I was thinking that it was always there maybe, but i looked at old pictures of the car when it was 4-lug lowered on 18s (skeet skeet lol).... and it didn't have the problem. All I can think is the knuckle is bent. Shame I dont' have the 4 lug anymore to put back on and check...... doh. Anyone have a spare driver side knuckle for a 5th gen?

Glad you figured it out. I take it it was a used set of knuckes with unknown history?

You got it, I use on the finest unknown parts on my car.....

I put the new one next to the old one, well they're both old, and they didn't look that different but I guess a mill or two off makes a big difference.

Now if I can just figure out whats going on with my clutch, I can go back to the dyno. I think I've got a worn out master cylinder, sometimes the car won't go into/come out of gear, sometimes it works fine. The slave is new, so I'm leaning towards my circa 1993 master cylinder.

always a good idea to replace both at the same time.

Yeah, you're right........ I'm just lazy......lol

I'll replace the slave while I'm at it this time, they're so cheap its pointless to risk it.
