Default Real easy question?....

I got a quick one to ask before I screw something up. I just bought some engine foam cleaner to clean my engine bay. What do I need to cover up besides the intake filter and what shouldn't I spray with engine cleaner/water?

I don't care if you call me a noob..... i just dont want to **** me car up!

Noob or not, it feels totally sketchy to hose an engine bay, so I am with you on that. Here is my first and only experience I had with washing engine bay in my hatch... My carwash has an engine wash setting on its nozzle sprayer, and I wanted to check it out so I pulled in, covered up the distributer, alternator and starter with some bags. By the time I was done soaking it with the cleaner (it is dispensed with low pressure, and it smells like engine bright), only the dizzy bag stayed in place, but I was getting impatient so I said f* it, it is only 400 dollar car. I let it soak for a while while I was washing the exterior, then I just went back and hosed the thing . I tried to avoid the electrical components, but honestly - it is difficult. After I was done I realized the following: the longer you let it soak - the better, and pressure form the hose can strip your valve cover so be careful there. That's it! It started right up with no problems whatsoever! I am rather happy with the results. I can see my tranny now, and a lot of the gunk is gone. Good luck.

88-89 teg plug wires for a DOHC ZC

and if its a sohc i would prolly use z6 plug wires. plug wires are obd related. also if the plugs are on the backside of the head then the wires wont fit if you try to put them on a head with the plugs in the front side of the head. for example a6 plugs wires wont fit on a z6 head.

or you could just take yours in and match till you find the correct legnth. just make sure they come from a car with the same OBD.
