utterly useless.

it may be "cool" that no ones done it before and so they get some "show" points
or some crap but its for stunna's alike.

turbo/SC or a twin turbo on a 1.8 L motor is just useless.

yeah, sure it is. Another idiotic comment from the soup moron.

the car looks best in this pic IMO:

And the first HKS twin charger setup I can think of dates back to 1989/1990 with the MR2SC that they added a turbo to. 1.6L and chitloads of tq/hp. Yep, just useless.

ACK!!! What a terrible thing to do to the looks of that R. The twin charger setup is ok by me, but the body and interior modifications they made are abominable! $49500? Some stunna would probably actually pay that much for, but not I!!!

In all seriousness that really makes me wanna cry. Why couldn't they have raped a GS-R insted? They still could have put Type R stickers on it, and by doing so appealed to their target audience ever more precisely.

Soup, what exactly is your reasoning in saying a twin charged 1.8 is "useless"? That doesn't make any sense at all to me.

They used a Type-R because it was a Type-R. If you don't think a Type-R gets more attention at a car show than a GS-R with Type-R stickers then you need to rethink that logic.

And they paid for the car, they can do what they want with it, even invite a pipe bomb in it. It is their fuggen car afterall.

Dude, you are a ******* idiot. I'm not saying a twincharger setup is the best thing ever, nor would I automatically put one on a Hype-R instead of just building a nice turbo setup, but there are applications where twin charger setups are very nice, regardless of displacement.

Go try to find your fuel filter again or something and leave your idiotic comments in your head

Actually I think you're just echoing the intelligent people in this thread that might actually know something about building a small motor to make power. Specially one supercharged from the factory, which is where one of these setups SHOULD be used. But then, you wouldn't know anything about that would you?

-Dave, who is done with soup moron, but would be entertained if jond pops up soon

SoFreshAndSoCleanClean (10:39 PM 8/28/2002): Yes, I refer to type-rs as Hype-R's. What difference does that make? If YOU knew anything at all about forced induction and factory supercharged setups perhaps you'd have an intelligent stance on this conversation.
This is coming from a guy, who is telling me two turbos are always better than one...

Put it this way, obviously you got some issues to deal with. So I'm just going to go on my merry way laughing at your responses. By the way, if you loathe and envy type r's so much (hype R), why bother with this forum?

Uhmm. Please quote my IM or post where I said "two turbos are better than one". I never said that. I did say that Twin Charger setups do work VERY well in certain setups, such as a FACTORY SUPERCHARGED car. Damn, you can't even read huh?

By the way, if you loathe and envy type r's so much (hype R), why bother with this forum?
Actually I don't loathe and envy hype-arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs at all. I do respect them for what they can do, but that's all. Since you know me so well, you should have known that.
