Default MY LS VTEC DYNO #...

well just got my motor tune and i was wondering if the power i made with the setup sounds about right (was hoping to break it into the 200whp range)...

the most it made was 196.x whp but i didnt get the graph for it. only got the graph for 194.x cause that was the best with the mid-range powerband.

anyways, when i came in with my basemap it made 194.2 whp right off the back, but it was too rich throughout the powerband. A/F was at 11-12 all the way. once we lean it out a little bit to 13.7-13.9 the mid-range got about a average of 6-8 whp from 3k to 7.5k.

here's the specs on the motor.

C/R Ratio is 12:15:1

* OBD2 B18B LS Shortblock: LS Crank, ACL Bearings, ARP Rod Bolts, ARP Head studs, Buddy Club Race Spec head gasket, LS Rods, JDM B16 Pistons, Golden Eagle LS/VTEC oil line kit, Crankcase ventilated with Endyn Block fittings.

* '00 GSR Head: New Valve seals, new Blox cam seal, Portflow Dual Valve springs, Portflow titanium retainers, Skunk2 STG. 2 Cams, Skunk2 Cam Gear, Skunk2 Pro-series IM, 68MM TB, 345cc Prelude injectors.

* '00 GSR Transmission: Exedy Stg 1 Clutch, Exedy Ultralight flywheel.

* HyTech replica full stainless race header.
* HyTech twinloop with full piping. 2.5" stainless straight through exhaust. sounds beautiful.

here's the dyno graph. it was tune on a DYNOCOM. not sure how that dyno compare to other dynos, but feel free to give me any input to break into the 200whp range...

will get the graph on later. got to scan it.
11-12 AFR? No..thats not opitumal for all motor.
At WOT you should be starting at around 12.9's.. I'm pretty sure if you lean it up you'll probably break your 200whp mark.
I tend to run my motors and the motors i tune alittle richer.. All motor cars tend to see their peak at around 13.5 but thats pretty lean.. I usually run cars 12.9~13.1 range there's dips here and there but it only varies by like .3..

You need to go back and have him lean it up 11's is entirely too rich for your setup.

anothersickhatch: what do you mean basemap info?

ALL M0T0R: no when i came in with the basemap i was runing the A/F ratio was at 11-12 and it hit 194whp. once we lean it out to 13.7-13.9 the mid range when up by like 6-8whp but top end only when up 2whp. so the A/F now is at 13.7-13.9 at WOT. and it hit a consistingly mid-19xWHP.

kansasEJ: no, the head has no port work into it. just valve train and the usually 3 angle valve job.

RED_90TEG: plz explain why it weak? give me some brief details. would really like to hear.

not sure what the question is but the basemap was a random basemap i got from another tuner with similar setup as mine and he made 214whp. but he ran on 440cc.

anyways, dyno graph is UP!!!

RED_90TEG, maybe the dyno just read a lil different, who knows ? track time and trap speed would be much appreciated. i think that pretty good for unported head. still hv p/s and a/c ? mid-low 13's afr is pretty much ideal, and it's not gonna make much difference, personally i prefer high 12's during the last 1k rpm just to be safe, personal preference of afr also depends how aggresive is your ignition timing too. just IMO, bigger exhaust and ported head will gain, plus u didn't mention abt cam gears adjustment.

oh, yeah cam gears are at +1,+1. and yes it still have a/c and power steering. and it in a FULL LEATHER INTERIOR 4DR INTEGRA. but yeah, was hoping for atleast 200+ WHP. but the motor is burning a little oil at VTEC. nothing to noticeable yet. but it does leave a trail of blueish white smoke at times when it WOT. so i think that might be why too. i'm trying to stay away from porting the head, as i do have a full built b20 block in the basement already if i didnt get close to 200+whp. i just wanted to see what kindof power i can push with this 1.8L. so after i got it tune i was just wanted to see if the result sounded right.

oh, and the ignition timing is about 25.5 degree.

so thats considered pretty damn good. "stock port, a/c p/s, and 25 degree timing" man assuming there is no a/c p/s, i personally had removed a/c n p/s(belts only, just to test) on the dyno, and picked up a solid 3-4 whp all the way across. plus, your motor might not like more ignition timing, but 25 degree seems pretty conservative. 200 whp is definitely there. but 196whp nice and safe ? i'll take it.

yeah we try 27 degree timing and it lost a little power on top and we try timing at 22.5 and gain 1whp at top end but lost power in mid-range. so i was like forget cause the tuner is only known for turbo charge tune. not really all motor tune. as far as i know. so i didnt want anything to happen.
