opinions on best OBD0 editor?

Default opinions on best OBD0 editor?

so i have a friend with an OBD0 ls and wants to chip his ecu to ad the basics, rev limit, CEL shift light, launch control, 02 disable etc. what are your recomendations on best editor that would have these features?

Since this is a non-vtec application, I believe turboedit is your best option. BRE can do everything you named but it is for PR3/PWO ecus.

i kind of figured but could i use bre but copy over the maps from turbo edit? also, what options would the launch control be located under? is it a separate plug in i'll have to install?

I ran Turboedit on my integra for a few years great program. I also mess with BRE and its great and i love the datalog and auto tune feature with it. both programs can do what you want. I hope you are getting tuned asell and not just gonna rock around a basemap with 2 step etc.

well on a bone stock motor, a beasmap should be fine, any other suggestions?

Wrong my stock injectors were maxed on a basemap they arnt ment to get into they are made to get you to a tuner not safe to beat around. but its your car dude im just tryin to help you out.

wow, i'll definetly look into that but there must have been somthing seriously wrong with your base map because a stock basemap for a stock motor should not be maxing out your injectors....btw, what program were you using and what basemap if you dont mind me asking, so i can avoid using it in the future lol.

it was turbo edit i cant member witch map but it was from turbo edit not from someone around the net. the map was richend in higher loads in my stock ls. i had to lean it out witch was no problem but its still not a correct map. Also the hondata and ectune maps i have tuned start off rich aswell. thats why im saying they are meant for light loads to get you to the dyno.
