Default Civic Hexagon Wall

I recently bought a 89 civic hatch and it has body mods and engine mods but nothing in the realm of audio, and that is what I do best.

Started by building two halves of the wall in full box form.

Had to raduis the top corners to fit the headliner and then block off the opening.

This is where it started to get fun.

Still had the old master plug from building a different enclosure.

After lots of measuring, I screwed the plates in and ran it through the router with a straight bit.

I disassembled the boxes and used this side as a master for the other 3.

Test fit

Reassembled

In the car without too much trouble

I got all of the first photos done in an evening. I started working on it at 3pm and other than an hour of taking my girlfriend to work I was done at about 1 in the morning. Then the next day I worked on this.

Got the back wall trimmed out and the amp racks on either side. The amps will be going on the pieces that are at the same 60 degree angle as the box

Got kinda cold out so she had to come in and get dusty. That's what I get for working on it until 5 am.

A budy of mine in my car club has a little club car show with his daughters birthday party so I threw in the subs for it.

It doesn't look like the subs have separate airspaces so I guess you are going for spl not sq?

I am more of an SQ man. The two halves are seperate so there are actually two 3-sub enclosures. The air-space on each box is exactly .75 cubic feet per sub. If I had 47 inches wide and high to work with I could have given the subs perfectly square .75 cubes but with the size restraint of 35 x 38 I did what I had to. This setup is probably more for looks than anything though. It won't be an SPL beast(though it will be able to get loud with 3000 watts rms pushing it) and the SQ will suffer from the shape of the interior of the enclosure but I don't mind when I get the "holy crap" comments.

Thanks. Gotta be tight for the whole "wall" effect.

Got some other things trimmed out and temped in the sounds for the last big show around here this year.

Got all my T-nuts installed

Put in some bolts for my speaker terminals

Back panel blocked off

I also added another piece that you can't see when you look in the car. If the sun got bright enough, you could see through the tint on the rear windows and I didn't want to be able to see behind my panels. You would never even know that this piece was here if I didn't tell you. Shhhhhh! Don't tell anybody

Amps wired for their temp purposes.

[QUOTE]

After I put in the t-nuts, I built the final wall to seal each side, top and bottom. Then I bolted these walls together to secure the two seperate enclosures.
