already searched.... AV6/ITR brakes on 5th gen accord
yes, I've read the thread in FAQ & read up on the thread form CB7tuner.com
I still have some questions:
Car: 1995 Accord EX (non-v6)
Calipers: 17CL15VN
Caliper Bracket: 23T & 25T (I have both, but not sure which to go with)
My questions using 17CL15VN calipers with 25T bracket:
1) 5th gen come stock with 10" x 25mm rotors right?
2) can I keep using my stock rotors with the 17CL15VN caliper & 25T bracket? .... or will the caliper hit the center rotor hub?
3) if I can't use stock rotor, do I just get the 95-97 AV6 11" rotor (also 25mm thick)?
My questions using 17CL15VN calipers with 23T bracket:
2) If using 23T bracket can i use 11" 96 prelude vtec rotors since they are 23mm?
Thanks, Charlie Moua
The Prelude rotors are RoH, and won't work. Refer to the other post about brakes on the main page, I linked all current suggested setups listed on the AccordinglyDone site.
it shouldn't hit the center rotor or hub but it will most likely hang over the diameter of the rotor further than it should, not allowing the pads to connect with the surface of the rotor correctly.
