SRP Pistons Are They Any Good?
I found a set of SRP pistons that come along with Eagle rods. They Are 81mm and 10:5:1 Are these pistons any good? or should I stick with Wisecos and 9:5:1 and 81.5mm bore?
there good but you have to use je/srp rings if you use there pistons. (thats what the je rep said because of the oil ring clearance on the piston)dont know much about the Wisecos.

I would highly r3ecomend 81.5mm bore and have your block bore/honed other wise its going to be a clacky/noisey motor. 10.5 would be ok but much more **** to detonation. try and keep it in the 9's compression ratio

I own SRP pistons in one of my engine ( D16z6 )
only complain about them is their unique rings, you need SRP rings set to go with them.
other than that, pretty solid piston, can take the abuse well. I have them in 9.0:1 comp ratio
made 312 whp on SOHC with them at 18 psi.
good buy for the price...

We got plenty 93-94 octane round here in SC....he should be straight with the 10.5. Where you plan on getting it tuned?? When I finish my build, I think I'm gonna go to A-V Engineering in Chucktown.
