Default spark plug gap and tuning question

Ok lets say on the day i had the car tuned my spark plug gap was different than what honda recommended for the h22; And lets say when I replaced my plugs I gapped it to what was recomended would that by any chance mess up my tune? I'm asking cuz i'm getting horrible gas mileage and trying to figure out what could be the cause.

Spark plug gap is not going to have a significant effect on fuel mileage. It definately not going to mess up your tune if it's not significantly different than the gap it was tuned at. Check you fuel mixture if you want to figure out why you are getting poor fuel mileage.
