Default Is this used turbo kit a good deal... i don't know much on this topic

http://www.toledotuners.com/phpBB3/v...p?f=11&t=49572

That's the link to it on my local forum. Lately I have gotten the idea that that I would like to piece together a turbo setup. My car is a 93 civic coupe with a b16a2 swapped in. As far as what I am looking for I would like to run 10psi and hopefully get 300whp. I will build the engine a little rods etc. to keep it reliable. As of now i was just thinking about really starting to research this I have no experience with turbo and don't plan on installing anything for another year or so.

But for you guys who have experience is this a good kit, is it a good deal, what else am I going to need if I bought this (besides tuning and building the engine etc.). Any other comments are appreciated. Like I said right now I am toying with the idea but if this looks like a good deal I would buy it. Thanks for the help.

Dont buy it. It sounds like a cheap ebay put together kit. he didnt list what kind/brand the T3T4 turbo was which to me is a hint its cheap crap and plus xs brand is ebay stuff so i would not get it if i were you. but for only 300whp you dont really need to build the motor any. stock b16 can handle 300 with a good tune.

Good call. One thing you'll notice is that people set a power goal rather than a boost pressure goal. You were about half way there with your goal of 300whp but the 10psi portion of it is irrelevant UNLESS you're trying to stay within the confines of your stock MAP which i'll tell you from experience is not worth it...

You should read through the FAQ...it might answer a few of your questions or give you more insight towards what you want to do with your setup

NOPE. Plan to budget MUCH more than this for a better turbocharger. No more e-bay deals, k?
