Default 09 4 door si retro

Just completed my 09 si 4 door HID retro.
It consists of:
AFS rx330 projectors
TSX-R clear lenses
Curved shields
50watt DDM slim ballasts
85122+ bulbs
e46 -r bezels
I've only had the car a week, and driven it twice at night and couldn't stand it (I couldn't see ****, I'm used to my s2000)
I'm pretty pleased with the way it came out. here are a couple quick pics i just snapped

Holy crap! So we're talking, what, over 5,000 lumens? Compared to the 1,000 to 1,200 lumens from a standard 55W halogen bulb...

They really should have given these cars projectors stock, every retro I see makes me think TSX, TL and RL.

I actually just placed and order for almost the same setup. I have a couple questions if u dont mind.
Who did the retro?
Any wall shots? I bought the same projectors with some clear lenses too.
Any closer shots of the headlight showing the shroud?
What do u mean by Curved shields?
The 85122+ bulbs are 4300K right?

Looks great BTW!

When retrofitting projectors, some people have curved the cutoff shield. Normally, they are flat. By curving it towards the lens, the beam tends to be more evenly distributed across the full width, with less central concentration.

Not positive on color (Google searching shows 4300K), but they're supposed to not color shift like a typical capsule. So, they shouldn't turn blue over time.

When I ordered my kit from theretrofitStore I opted for the 4300k aftermarket bulbs they offer. They also offer brand new Phillips 85122+ bulbs for almost twice the price. I'm doing this retro and want to get the best lighting I can. If my bulbs "turn blue" will this affect the amount of light output or is it only cosmetic?

Both. Light output decreases and color temp increases, as typical HID capsules age.

This is also true for HID capsules that start out at a higher color temp. More blue = less light. Then, they color shift further blue, losing even more light output.
