Hey guys, i'm doin a swap for my buddy, he dropped off the motor, so I pulled his old non vtec sohc motor out. pulled the old tranny and swapped onto new motor. Now he dropped off I dizzy, but the 2 connectors are different then whats on the wiring harnesss. How do I take care of this mess. can I cut the connectors off the old one and put on the new dizzy. the colors of the wires seem to be the same on the 2 dizzys just different plugs.

harness is stock 90 crx, non vtec, old dizzy from this motor

new dizzy is from 94 civic si. for vtec motor.

need help guys want to get this done asap. I need the garage space.

 

what kind of vtec motor are you putting in??

 

block says zc, dizzy had 94 civic on writen on it. IM had 94 civic vtec writen on it.

to use the OBD1 distributor, you will need to use the OBD1 ECU which means converting from OBD0 to OBD1 with ECU jumper harness - if his car was DPFI, you will need to convert the wiring to MPFI

 

like jlicrx said, you will need to convert from dpfi to mpfi if the car is not an Si or Hf

to use the dizzy you'll need an obd0-1 adapter harness.
