Icon3 First gear doesnt engage GSR

Hey I'm new to the game and have a 2000 gsr. Previous owner installed a short shifter. One con to the car right now is that once in a while it does not fully engage into 1st gear, it would go only half way. I would have to go back to neutral, step off and on clutch again and shift to 1st. He told me to bleed the clutch line and should be fixed. My other friend told me its because of the short shifter and he has that problem too. Anyone else had this happened to them? and how did you fix it?

i'd start with putting the stock shifter back in and see what happens.

Bleeding the clutch line could help. It's easy to do and will probably take less time than switching out the shifter if you have a helper. I found that a 2nd-3rd gear grind practically disappeared when I bled my clutch (went from grinding at 4000 rpm to only grinding above 7500)
