INFO NEEDED: Rear speed sensor kit
I was told there is a kit for a rear speed sensor that people use for boost by gear and what not. I am wanting to shift on mph instead of rpm so when it spins in first I can nail my shift perfectly everytime without shifting early or late. any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the reply - So if I have abs then its as simple as just wiring the abs sensor to the ecu where the vss origanally was installed?
I already have read where someone was running rear vehicle speed sensor on drums, because they installed a spool without the vss gear on it. Maybe it can be purchased from the spool company or they might have some input.

You could still run boost by gear off your trans vss you would just have to make sure that the mph set is higher than your max speed when spinning at redline. It would take some datalogging and time to set it up, but still wouldn't work as flawless as rear tire plus you could bring in power anywhere you want. I would also like to datalog both vss's and clearly see where the tires are breaking loose when setting up boost by gear.
I wasn't wanting to use crome for boost by gear, I was wanting to read out on the dash cluster my rear tire mph to make my shifts dead on with mph instead of blowing the tires off and just guessing the right time to shift or waiting for the car to fall on it's face. But we are setting up a hondata for boost by gear either way off of tranny vss or rear vss doesn't really matter.
