Default exhaust question

I need a new exhaust, i think that there is rocks or something in my tip, and idk on how to get them out. So it rattles, and is really annoying. it makes my exhaust sounds real raspy. Also, something, i guess, has come loose in my cat cut there is a rattle coming from it as well. so my question is, how good is an exhaust system from ebay. I dont want to see anyone say "you get what you paid for" or none of that shat. I want to hear what ppl have to say that have actually bought one and experienced one. Is it worth it? Does it sound decent? Thanks in advance, Jake.

A couple of my friends had a ebay exhaust and sounded ok but def. not the best. Depending on how much u spend id stay away from ebay and go with something else. Like a apexi n1 or ws2.

i had an ebay exhaust before i replaced it with my tanabe. that ebay exhaust sounded like an angry angry weedwacker, and was just real real noisy at crusing speeds. its up to u though. you could just throw a stock exhaust on until u save up for something better

you could do an eBay catback but put a decent muffler on instead and add a resonator or glass pack in the mid section after where the cat would go. Please do run one, I would, except my car didn't come with one and aftermarket ones are garbage to fit 2 1/2in pipe.

what is your preference? loud, quiet, deep, raspy etc? each exhaust sounds different and youtube also will help with a decision

Thats is something kinda like what i was already looking into. When i bought the car it came with this "Highflow Cat" but really its just a resonated test pipe from Ebay. The local exhaust shop wouldn't even weld it on for me. But what i was thinking on doing was, throw that test pipe on, go find a stock resonator, weld it in, and buy a cheapo tip from Ebay, would that be a good idea or no? My friend bought a tip off of Ebay and it sounds great. It has been on for about a year and still sounds great.

I would love to have an exhaust that has a deep, but a little loud too.

apexi WS2 is $407 shipped right now if you know where to look.

Friends don't let friends buy ebay exhausts.

Can you not read? I have clearly said i can not afford an Apexi exhaust right now. I am just planning on putting a ebay tip for now. Also, I can get that exhaust from this place about an hour away from my house for $300 brand new, still in the box.

Yes, I can read. You said that you want to stop your rasping and buzzing sound. I fail to see how an ebay tip is going to do a damned thing for that except waste money that you could be saving to buy a decent exhaust.

Especially if material from your cat is loose.

If you just want a tip, you can buy one for $7 at Autozone.

You may fail to see how it will change, but i dont, because a friend of mine has the same exact setup as i do and his ebay tip has a nice deep tone to it, and the noise coming from the cat turned out to be the heat sheild a little loose

I do not have it. When i bought the car it already had a 2.5" pip on it with no resontator and a naxxos tip. the pipe is welded directly onto the cat. So i cant.

yeah, in the long run ebay is hit and miss. I got an axleback. I sorted by cheapest first and chose one of the first ones. It was originally for temporary use but it is sounding so smooth i haven't taken it off yet. Plus its got a mad JDM burnt tip look y0!

save up for a good part like WSII or get one custom welded at a shop ~$200-$250. I hate it when people say "dont tell me the answer tell me what I want to hear"

There ARE REAL high flow catalytic converters. I have one and it does its job. I passed emissions with it. No bullshit. Ebay is for ***gots who want their car to break down.

All I can say to you all, stop being cheap ****s. If you want a cheap hobby, collect rocks.

i know there are real high flow cat's, im not stupid, i said that the "high flow cat" came with my car when i bought it, the guy said he bought it off ebay, but when i talked to a guy from a exhaust shop and he said it isnt a high flow cat it is a resonated test pipe. and not everything from ebay is bad, so if your going to be a jack ***, GTFO,

i am getting a full megan cat back exhaust here in a few months for $300, but the rattling coming from my tip is driving me insane and really embarassing. all i wanted to know is if it was worth getting a ebay cat back, from what im told, no, but im going to get a tip from them for now, only going to be for at the most of 3 months
