90 Civic B16A SiR II ODB1 IACV/Idle Question - Searched I installed a ODB1 B16A SiR
I installed a ODB1 B16A SiR II engine from a 92 EG6 into my 90 Civic Hatchback Auto.
When I fist started it, the idle was a 3,500 RPM, I cleaned the IACV and FITV and it didn't fix the issue.
Checked ECU for codes and I got 5 and 7. Fixed the vacuum routing to the MAP sensor and it helped a bit, then adjusted TPS to 0.45 closed and 4.5 wot.
ECU codes went away but now it idles at 2,000 RPM
When I cover the upper hole inside the throttle body (IACV hole) idle normalizes,
1. Is it possible for the IACV to be bad without throwing an error code on the ECU?
2. Where can I get a replacement IACV for this motor?
IACV from ODB2 B16's and B18's are different, will the IACV from a delSol Vtec work?
Thanks in advanced for any help.

i got the same problem. but i have that engine on a crx. 1. make sure that the vacum lines are connected right. i had the same problem if i covered a hole on one of the sensors it would calm the idle. so make sure they are right. 2. warm up the car till fan goes on, then turn off car. then disconect the MAP sensor. turn the car on and it will idle high now there is a screw on the throtle body by the vacum hose outlets. you have to turn that screw so that your RPM fall just a bit over/under 1k. 3. turn car off and disconnect the battery for a few seconds. make sure vacum hoses are right!
Do you have a diagram for the hoses on your car?
I've found a few different diagrams online, according to one of then the vacuum hoses are connected correctly.
Thanks

Im almost 100% sure that my vacuum hoses are pluged in correctly. I just picked up a IACV from a 94 delSol VTEC B16A3
Hopefully this fixes the problem
Hopefully this fixes the problem
if it doesnt fix it, it sounds like you have a tb gasket leak. make sure to use a gasket from a b16 del sol.
