Default BLOX log style turbo manifold

I had a question, I am building a ls/vtec turbo and I would like to keep my AC. I was looking at using the blox manifold, has anyone used one, like em or love em? I have herd that on that manifold the waste-gate hits the head. any advice would be great thanks!

it will hit the hood if you dont use an elbow for the wg. or you can use a turbosmart style wg to get you more clearance. that setup will get you started but, eventually you'll wanna make more power so just go ahead and save yourself the trouble of redoing your setup and get a nice quick 4 ac mani.

keep in mind you're limited to what turbos you can run on an AC setup

your turbine housing MUST be a 5-bolt ( GARRETT, PRECISION, or FORD design not ebay or any other brand/design like 4-bolt outlets etcc)

otherwise it will NOT FIT**

your compressor housing must be either an "E" or "b" housing because an S-housing is much too large and will not fit.

PM me if you need a 3"AC downpipe, dumptube n wg elbow, we make them for blox setups and if you call them, they will direct you to us.

^ I am glad you mentioned that. The turbo I was about to order for it was the GT3076R. I was hoping it would fit, will it? Also, what's a "nice quick 4" is that a name brand?

"Spoolin Performance" (Project dc2) does great work and is super helpful/knowledgable.

not unless you have a 5 bolt turbine housing and a E compressor housing

the std gt 30R ported shroud will not work. nor will the std gt30R 4-bolt bell mouth outlet design

street car, its got stock sleeves, forged 9-1 je pistons. gs-r head, adjustable skunk cam gears, I would like to make around 350 whp daily. I was looking at the GT2860, and herd from my tuner that was too small. My main goal is 350 whp and AC, will the GT2860 even fit that manifold?

yes if you get the 5-bolt t3t4 ford style turbine housing itll fit perfectly- however it is on the smaller side for 350WHP i'd suggest the 2871R if you want to stick with a small turbo with fast spool characteristics. we can get you that turbo also. PM me

You should be able to make 350whp on a 57 trim Garrett. I have that manifold and with my Tial wastegate the hood closes just fine without and elbow. I did have to get another exhaust flange to gain enough clearance from the transmission slave cylinder so I could fit a coupler on the turbo. The housing was literally touching the slave cylinder. You'll also have to notch out the webbing on the block.

works on LS without WG elbow. does not work on VTEC heads without elbow

Or even the silver surfer would be able to fit, as it is designed in the B cover, fits a 5 bolt ford style housing to allow A/C, 76mm exducer, and makes maximum pressure under 23psi on a GS-r in under 4200rpms, and is capable of over 400whp on 93 octane pump gas. Cool part is its journal bearing so it can be rebuilt, and is $400 less than a GT3076R with no need for additional money for water lines.

Video is posted here from Mitsuman - 346whp @ 11.6 psi. Capable for over 25psi.

A Spoolin' Performance Quick4AC and a silver surfer together would make one helluva combination for an A/C compatible 400whp setup.
