wow yo, the golden one is under construction
Hey guys, i have rebuilt, repainted and restored a bunch of cars so i figured i would post the progress on here.. Anyways my name is Gonza and this is my 3rd ej1. The first one was just a riced out d16z6 with headers and an intake full body kit and rims. My second one is the one i miss and the reason why i got this one, i bought it bone stock and put a turbo on it and yadda yadda. This one i bought back in october of 08 it had some front end damage. The guy had ran into an eclipse, airbags didnt deploy. I bought a new bumper and some parts from craigslist and junkyard and started driving it. It was milano red but was turnin pink, black bumper and primed hood and fenders. i drove it like that for about 6-7 months but i was tired of the way it looked so i bought a couple things:
Carbon fiber hood, jdm thin side moldings, EK side skirts, "jdm" headlights with amber corners, 1 new fender, new rear bumper, front and rear lip.10k HID kit both low and highs, I gutted the whole interior out and got to work

Ok so at that time the car was all painted and ready to be put back together so i started with a viper 350hv, after i was done wiring that in i bought rockford fosgate 4gauge dual amp install kit, 2 sets of 6.5 component type-s alpien speakers, r channel alpine amp and wired that stuff in. Because its a 93 body i had to make holes for the tweeters in the front doors and the rear. i made some custom brackets for the 4 channel amp and mounted the 1 farad cap. dynamated the trunk area and put the interior in. This is what it looks like as of 9/27/09 i will take some shots of the interior when it stops raining.

The goal of this car is to be my daily driver while i finish up my single turbo blow-thru setup on my trans am. I have done all the work myself on all of my cars including anything from alarm system to turboing it. Only thing i have ever paid for was windows tint, and tuning of the civic.
This is my weekend car, i put a 6speed transmission in place of the 700r4 that i had, 3.73 gears just a stock rebuilt 350 with a lil roller cam, i ditched the Tuned Port Injection and replaced it with a holley double pumper 750cfm carb, dual plane rpm airgap intake, some port and polish on the heads, 1.6 rocker arms, flat top pistons all through shorty headers and a 3" borla catback exhaust with no cat.

I concur, THANK GOD you are out of the ricer stage...that blue one was atrocious haha. The black one isn't bad. Good luck with future builds. Good to know you are putting your own sweat and tears into these things, and anyone that does that, deserves props.

i'm going with 16" for the current one
Doesn't look to bad for a garage paint job. But why go through all the work and leave the front lip, rear lip, side skirts and door handles all on while painting?
Why don't you go with 15's for your EH? I personally think anything bigger than 15 on an EH is too big. Keep it updated man...good job...btw...not sure if it's the camera, but the front shot you have of your car shows a freakin super shiny hood haha.
I'm gonna be focusing more on the trans am these next couple of month so i can finish my single turbo blow thru setup.
wow, comin along bro, lookin good. where in virginia you from? A couple people that helped me build my hatch are from fredericksburb, richmond area, they told me about the scene out there is off the hook. i need to bring my hatch out and see whats up. you guys know sam moore out there, he'd own anyone in that scene.
That paint looks surprisingly good for a garage job without a booth. In fact, it looks great, even though I'm not a huge fan of the color. Lots of prep and sanding between coats I imagine. You used a gun, right?
Whose yellow BMW 2002? Don't see those everyday.

We've had 2 2002s. We bought both from the same guy, he was using one as a parts car to build the one that was in better shape (the yellow one) at the time it was maroon. The other had some rust.
The yellow bmw is a 1976 2002. My brother built it back in 2005 we restored it from ground up and we painted it ourselves as well. We rebuilt the engine, we got rid of the bumpers and put a 5 speed transmission out of a 320i. We also redid the interior. This was a great project and i wish my brother hadnt sold it.
The other one we painted white. It had alot of rust but we fixed it. We couldnt find many replacement parts but we built them. We rebuilt the engine and little did we know it had dome pistons. after finishing it up, compared to the yellow one it HAULED ***. we left the 4 speed in it and both bumpers but put the front lip on. Ill try to find some pix.
