I've got one. $100 comes with a used once engine leveler. used the hoist 2 weekends ago and it worked flawless. PM me for details.

You know what they say about opinions right?

The way I do it is just as "safe" as using a cherry picker. It's quite simple. I jack the car up & unbolt everything. When it's time for the mounts I use a transmission jack to hold the engine. After so I take my ordinary jacks & put the "blocks" that I fabricated that lock around the head of the jack that give more stroke. I have two sized blocks to achieve the height needed. Yeah the "blocks" I made function perfectly fine, were made out of 1/4 wall sq tube w/ standard a36 3/6 plate & dual shielded but... it's a lot more of a pain in the *** to do.

But... Seeing the things bought/sold on here, something like an buying an engine hoist on car forums just made perfect sense.
