Default White smoke question

hopefully it's not an head gasket, but..
i juss wanna get some inputs from you guys since it's not too much of an white cloud smokes..

i get a little white smoke when cold start. well i don't smell any sweets and white smoke comes out for like a 5 seconds and then that is it.

i thought it's because of the temp being low in the morning.. juss getting a steam, but i get the same amount of white smoke after work (car's been parked outside in the 90 degrees for like 9hours). it's 06 s2k juss hit the 30k mi. so need to get a 30k mi service.

Thanks,
OJ

First, check and see if you are getting any oil water mix... Is your oil level dropping? Take off the oil cap, shine a flashlight in there and see if you see a milky substance. If you have access to a compression or even better, a leakdown tester those would be great tests to run.

pull your dipstick out when car is running. drop a drip of oil on the exhaust...if it smokes and no bubles your good.. if it bubbles their is water or coolent in their
