Accord A/T bearing failure diy questions
I have the whirring/ roaring bearing failure noise coming directly from the torque converter housing area. I'm going to replace the converter housing bearing and maybe even the case bearing. Has anyone done this w/ Honda's auto trannys before. I'm trying to be ready for any unforseen problems. 98 accord 4cyl EX-ULEV.
it's the diff bearings that is bad. move your axles on the inner back and forth. there should be minimal play, if there is a lot of play, the diff bearings are bad.
I doubt it... but here is why. In order for the diff bearing to make noise, it has to move. I get the noise when the tranny is in park and neutral. I have next week off from work and I'm gonna pull out the tranny then.
First obstacle... Seems like these auto trannies need a housing puller to separate/ remove the transmission housing. The ESM references part number 07hac pk40102----

Ok that obstacle is resolved. Now the next obstacle is what if I need that arm extension attachment for the housing puller! Someone who's done this before. Please PM me or somethin
