Looking to purchase a GPW S2000 and have some questions.
Hey,
I am looking to purchase a 2004 or 2005 AP2 S2000 in Grand Prix White but only see them with tan interior. I like the 04-05 AP2 model better because I prefer the seats with the hole on the headrest and like the rims better as opposed to the newer 06+ models.
I have only seen one 04-05 GPW with black interior in person and it was a long time ago, but had a feeling the person probably custom ordered it or swapped it out.
Did the 04-05 GPW S2000's come with black interior? If not, does swapping the tan interior involve a lot of work, and does anyone have pictures of it if they have personally done it themselves?
Thanks

the 04-05s only came in tan as far as i know. at least in the US. 06-07's came in black with the 08's having the red/black interior.
i really wanted an 08 gpw with red interior but theyre still too expensive.
swaping the black interior youre going to need seats, carpet, floormats, door panels, console cover etc.

I had a feeling the 04-05's GPW S2000's only came with tan interior...I guess I need to find someone that knows how to do a full interior swap including the center console and carpet.
Has anyone done a full tan to black interior conversion for their 04-05 GPW S2000's, and have pics of the results? This would really help me out. The center console/carpet seems like the hardest part...

I can't seem to register on to s2ki for some reason. It says my username is not vaild everytime I make one up. Is the car an 04 or 05 model and how many miles? Oh and where is it located?
Anyone else know of anyone with tan to black interior conversion pics? I would appreciate it.

Purchased with Tan="classy"

Decided classy was for the homo's

Took about 4 hrs with 2 people working on both cars to do the swap. I would suggest going to harbor freight and getting the trim removal pack for $5. 04-05 does not directly bolt up to 06+ interior. passenger carpet/seat rails/sensors are different.
And yes 06+ seats are 100% more comfortable than 00-05 seats.

^^Thank you for that.^^
That is exactly what I want to do, only I want black 04-05 seats instead of the 06+ ones. How much did the full interior cost? (i.e. seats, panels, carpet, floormats) And did you get them from honda?
Also, the sides of where the console is where it is normally tan, seems like it would be hard to convert to black. How did you do that?
edit: Just wondering if you did it yourself or took the car some place to get it done. I don't trust myself swapping the interior. Is this the trim removal pack you are talking about?

If you have tan, someone will PAY YOU and give up there black interior. Maybe as much as 500$ on top... Black is the most common so people look for something different.
anyways, to answer the OP question. yes that tool kit will do just fine. i did not buy the full interior because it's to expensive. i swapped with another s2k owner locally and paid him some cash on top. the center console is pretty easy. you can find full swap directions on s2ki.com in the search function. the hardest part will be finding someone to switch with you
