H22 transmission problem need help

Default H22 transmission problem need help

I have 99 prelude type sh with a jdm type s motor and tranny. my problem is i cant get it into gears smoothly, sometimes i have to turn the car off to get it in gear at a full stop. when i push the clutch all the way down and have it in gear and try to start it sometimes the car still goes, any 1 with this problem and have any idea what this is??

needs master/slave cylinders

if slave is leaking then just change it, but if master is leaking go ahead and change both.

^^^^^^ like he said, slave cylinder could be gone , or you are leaking fluid and not know it.

If the clutch disc is shot, it would be at the least slipping. A worn clutch disc most likely won't cause issues getting into gear.

This problem definitely seems to be with the clutch not engaging/disengaging properly, which means its most likely the fault of the slave or master as previously stated.

Could be clutch master and/or slave cyls or Clutch is probably going out.

If the fluid is just low it could just need a simple bleeding. A worn disk won't cause the issues the OP is experiencing. Chances are that the slave cylinder's going bad. Just pull the rubber boot back on the front of the transmission and see if it's got fluid in there.

Good looks, The clutch is fine and i have no leaks, could be the slave cylinder, i gotta check it out
