Well my last 98 civic got totaled out due to a idiot in a pickup truck on his cell phone rear ending me at 50mph at a stop light and pushing me into the pilot in front of me.

thankfully i had full coverage and actually got way more then i then i thought i would back from insurance for a 2dr civic ex with 165k on it. ($5500)

I was saving for a new car anyways so i put the 2 amounts together and got myself a 2006 2dr SI pretty much fully loaded and in mint shape.


so anyways i have been kinda searching around for known problems and haven't found much (which i guess is a good thing) besides the 3rd gear issue which the car i bought did not seem to have. is their anything i missed?

pics are in the picture thread but will post more and better once i go pick it up. (gave them money to hold it until i can make a 2nd trip to Indiana)

the tranny issues are the main problem the car has, though i got lucky with mine too. other than that, the other problem that seems to be somewhat common is the sun visors breaking in the summer. nothing major i'd say

thats y hawaii has cellphone laws stating cant use the cellphone while driving. neway, i enjoy my 09 si.

 

Finally got an Si too! FA5 for me though. Wanted the Coupe, but will be having a family soon.

 

People in pickup trucks are always idiots. I've had a couple of them come to a screeching halt behind me before.

 

I resent that lol...I drive a pickup truck (with an 18 foot trailer behind it) all of the time at work.

To which my response would be, "Yes. A stock SI is faster than some turbo'd r18s"

not only good at speed but good performance and nice lookin for a decent car.
