Okay guys,
I need some opinions. I HAVE SEARCHED AND READ THOUGH THE STICKY LINKS posted by Bense. I have an idea of what's going on but value the opinion of people that are smarter on the subject.
I have recently started hearing noises coming from the transmission. Normally after driving for awhile, when I'm backing the car into the garage i hear a loud "rotating" noise.
[woo woo woo woo]
It sometimes even makes this noise while the car is parked....
Just a few nights ago on the freeway, I accelerated while still in 5th gear and heard a little bit of a "rattling" noise also.
I'm assuming that its something with the bearing[s] but I'm currently unemployed and on a very tight budget. I want to be sure I'm buying the correct parts.
The car/trans is a 1998 USDM ITR. with 116k and uses Honda MTF.
New clutch and flywheel was installed less than 12 months ago.
Any feedback would be very much appreciated.

When it's making the noise it doesn't matter what the clutch position is.
If it is the ISB am i doing any other harm by driving the car? I plan and getting this fixed ASAP but it's my only car right now..
thanks for the help.

If its the ISB, clutch pedal should affect the noise. If it is though, it can hurt. If it explodes you'll need a new trans. Even if it doesn't it can still chew the mainshaft and clutch housing up.
If you can get a quality vid that would help.

I doubt i can get a good video.
Is there anything else that you think might cause noise? I have a GSR trans in my other car that isn't being used right now. Maybe i will swap them out so I'm not damaging the ITR tranny in the mean time..
