Finally, GOT MY 10 second pass !!!!!
We're out here in Woodburn for the BOTI event. Been stuck in the low 11's for a year... Finally went with a taller wider tire, a better front end, and better axles on drag shocks.
1st pass,
broke a 5.9 axle in the water box.... IN THE WATER BOX....
2nd pass,
10.979@112, missed the 3-4 and coasted. 1.652 sixty foot 6.638@111 in the 1/8th mile.
3rd pass,
10.20@143.65, 1.656 sixty foot and 6.745@111.52 in the 1/8th mile.
Last 2 passes on Sunday
10.02@146.5
10.18@146
AND, I go my NHRA license.
I'm still lift shifting the throttle, having trouble with the concept of leaving it on the floor, but am willing to try.
Thanks to all the guys at the Speedfactory in Washington. Can't say enough good about them, many thanks. All I did was hang on.

Congrats. Pretty big improvement I bet you were extremely excited! What tire did you end up switching too? Also what's your setup and what boost was that run at?

Great job stormer! You battled through all the issues this weekend and ran some awsome times and got your nhra license! Not to mention your 10.0 runs were on my backup stock open diff gsr tranny......cuttin a 1.56 60' !
Thanks folks.
Couldn't have done it without the Speedfactory and a lot of the help I get from you folks here, and I appreciate all of it. Those Speedfactory guys love to do work. And it is appreciated more than they will ever know. And thanks to the Woodburn crew for being so accomodating. If I couldn't get a physical, I was out for the weekend after driving half way across the country to play. I got a helluva story outta the whole thing too.
I'll post it all in my build thread in a few days. James said he could have found me 5 more pounds of boost in 4th... I didn't want to risk a boost cut or blown piping or something that might alter the setup. Was hard not to do it, knowing it probably would have pulled a 9. But the license was what I needed this time. We'll get more chances to break stuff later.

I needed that last one to get my license... MAN, I was nervous.... Having broke a 5.9 and then tossed a tranny and possible related axle, and then on Zol's backup open diff GSR trans.... I was a bit worried
I went to do my burnout and I was in neutral... 'DOH....
All I kept thinking was I was gonna blow something and not get 135mph pass. I came outta the hole slow and short shifted 3-4 just to be safe. Didn't want to have an issue on the 3-4 and lose all the mph.
WHEW.... got all 6 passes in, and got my license as well. Was a good weekend for the Speedfactory family.
I'll post more times and setup when I have a better connection tomorrow.

Very nice meeting you. I could not believe you drove all the way from Montana, and then stayed to get your cars running and then down to Woodburn. I would also like to thank you for your generosity last night on the way home. Everybody really appreciated that. Congrats on your new personal best and good luck on the 9's that I'm sure are coming. Maybe you need a few more practice passes on that friend of yours front yard drag strip you were telling us about.
