how much boost can a ls hold with stock internals?

not really. one motor with 150,000 miles might be in excellent shape and another with 50,000 miles might be in terrible shape. just depends how it was treated and how its faired over the years. compression checks and cylinder leakdown tests will give you a good idea of the kind of shape a motor is in. reliably a stock ls can hold anywhere from 250-325+. just depends on how lucky you get and how good the tune is.

im fully rebuilding it with stock internals so i should be able to run 7 pounds?

7 pounds on what, a t25 with a shitty log manifold or a t88 with $1000 manifold. There are way too many variables to just give you one answer.

hah ya great post .....it all depends on the tune shity tuner = low boost and blown up good tune stock motor 10 - 16 lbs safely great power.....like stated way too many variables to go over
