Apples to oranges.

Check out Hondata's FlashPro to compare.

afaik the cobb isn't fully tunable yet while the flashpro is. until the cobb becomes tunable, i'd go with the flashpro.

i wouldn't say apples to oranges; they're both tools for reflashing the ecu. it's just that the flashpro is tunable while the cobb isn't (yet).

but they don't sell the software to let people tune their cars themselves, right? from what i rememeber reading about cobb, you have to have an authorized shop do it for you. with flashpro you have everything you need to do it yourself.

They are both nice pieces of hardware. Tuning software is available for the Cobb unit. http://www.cobbtuning.com/products/?id=4571

accesstuner has been out for a few months already.
the thing that held cobb back was the delay of accesstuner,
which made the ap not tunable.
while fp was a fully finished product from its release date.

the way i saw it, cobb tried to jump the gun on hondata by releasing the ap
before the fp to get the extra money and hope that people were going to jump all over the ap because it was the first thing out. but some were surprised that it didnt come with tunability, while hondata waited and perfected the fp and released a marvelous finished product. i know a few people that ditched the ap to get fp because it was fully tunable. i heard even the accesstuner beta that was released had quite a few bugs. and i've seen a couple videos of idle problems with the ap as well.

I think Hondata could have made the FP with an LCD screen and enabled the unit to store a handfull of maps to toggle between.

I had a buddy many years ago who had a set up on a domestic vehicle that he used on race night to sandbag and win some cash.

K5 was pointing at the fact that the guy originally asked about the Hondata reflash. No biggie, I almost said something too, then realized what the OP really asked.
