ED9; PM7-X04 ECU won't work properly :(
Hey all,
I have a problem with my electrical system. When I power up the ECU, via the main relay or jumper wired the light on the ECU comes on and stays on. That's not what it supposed to do right? I do hear the little valve near the MAP sensor clicking when I connect the ECU. But the fuelpump doesn't come on (pump is working tho). I also didn't have 12V power at the connectors of the dash (rpmgauge, speedgauge etc). So I connected the 12V of the sigaret-lighter and the dash works now. The fuelmeter works and the oil+CEL lights up. But the strange thing is, that the CEL stays on even when there's no ECU plugged in. I allready tryed another ECU but without any succes. So that isn't the problem.. Anyone an idea?
Greetz,
Felix

The CEL will stay on when you have the ECU unplugged because it cannot find one obviously.
Have you checked the ECU fuse under the hood? Also check #14 Alternator Solenoid Valve under the dash, this powers the ECU, Main Relay etc.
If none of the fuses are blown, sounds like the ECU might be bad. I would suggest trying to find another one to borrow to see if that is the case.
Solid LED on the ECU usually means the ECU is toast

The only thing I can think of right now is #14 fuse. The car is being prepared to race on the track following strict regulations. There are big plans for the electronics, but I didn't do much at this moment. The only thing is the that the engine was out for some time, but we put it back in not to long ago.. And I also rewired the CEL and the temp+fuel gauges to a custom panel. But thats about it...
