SHOULD THIS WORK...
Ok so here we go... my friend messed up all my wiring while doing my dpfi to mpfi conversion an now he wont help me fix it... what a friend right.. But my question is can I take all the wiring form a 92-95 civic and put it all into to my 91 civic... I want to make everything to obd-1... Any input would be helpful
I did something very similar and shift is correct on having to use the complete car harness if you want this to be plug and play.
I had converted my car from DPFI to MPFI, auto to manual and OBD0 to OBD1 all at the same time.
Amazingly it fired right up first try!
(I put a lot of time in though.)
I also did that all without any jumper harness AND I deleted the driver's side firewall plug.
Did I mention this was a lot of work?
If you get the complete ECU to engine schematic for both your car as well as the car your engine came from then you can trace every pin and every wire. I'm sure you see where this is going... did I mention that's it's a lot of work?
you can then cut off your OBD0 ECU plugs and solder the OBD1's on so they feed to the correct sensors. I suggest your twist and tape or use crimps if you aren't 100% sure you connected to the right wire. You will then have to do the same thing up at the firewall connectors.

I suppose you could also get your hands on an uncut OBD1 ECU dash harness and take it apart so you are left with only the ECU wires. You would have to do the same with your stock harness to remove all the ECU wires. Then merge the two together and hope it works... it should. You will need a different cluster for this method as OBD1's run off the tranny mounted VSS.

Yes I know this will take time to do all the work but it will be well worth it... I also know that I have to get all the wiring harnesses from tail light to head lights... I should be able to find most of the parts for this swap at my local junk yard... I hope... But if not I might need some help...
