ABS error code 1 now what?
Hi all I have a 1993 accord coupe. The ABS light is on so i did some research here and extracted the error code. The light would blink once then in about 6 seconds blink once again. Ok so error code 1 = the hydraulic pump motor is over-run.
Now what do I do? It looks to me like the pump is part of a larger ABS component. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

The ABS pumps for these years (I have a '97) would normally fail within the first 5-7 years so congrats on your longevity. One of the seals would fail and would loose pressure causing the error. There are no rebuild kits that I know of so you must purchase the entire ABS pump assembly to fix the issue $900 - $1000 (part price alone). I know on one of the forums they say there is a cheap fix requiring a new o-ring seal that you might want to try (to busy to try myself). Worst case is you drive without ABS and you have to listen to the pump wind up and then produce the ABS light.
