intake camshaft not going back in rite?

Default intake camshaft not going back in rite?

i put my head back on after changing my head gasket and my intake camshaft wont sit rite .is it because i didnt loosen the adjusting screws before i took them out?if thats the case and i loosen them up,how do i know how much to tighten them back up?thanks in advance!

What do you mean "it doesn't sit right"?? Once you torque the head down and put the cams back in and torque the cam oil plates down you need to put the cam gear on and then turn the cams by hand using a 14mm wrench on the bolt holding the cam gear onto the cam until it sits in the right direction in relation to the marks on the intake and exhaust cams.
