Ok so I decided to just ditch the sohc zc since the wiring harness and distributor are missing and just get a dohc zc that I found for a nice price. Now the dilema is this. Since at the moment I have no wiring harness will I be able to use the wiring harness off of the DOHC ZC? I'm going to use the DOHC ZC's ecu because I read it gives you a little bit better performance. Also would I just be able to use my old tranny off of my jdm zc which is a SL3 or will I have to use the DOHC ZC's tranny?
you can use the SL3 transmission, no problem - does the ZC have the complete uncut factory ZC harness on it? you can use the factory harness, but you would need to swap a different connector onto either the engine harness or the chassis harness at the driver's side firewall connection - the Si chassis harness has a round 8-wire connector and the ZC engine harness has a rectangular 6-wire connector like the 88 Si

yes the tranny will work with the DONC zc. any d series tranny will work with a dohc zc cuz its a d16.

Yea I was looking at that website earlier. They didnt say much about the tranny and that's why I wasnt sure about it and they were using the stock si harness which mine got stolen so I was hoping to be able to use the dohc zc's harness. Thanks for the help guys.
