obd0-obd1 motor swap problems.. 1990 DA with 95 gsr motor
so first off everything is in the car already... I used the obd0 engine harness, tapped the needed sensor plugs to the harness and ran the wires straight to the ecu using a obd0-obd1 jumper harness w obd1 gsr ecu... I also converted the dizzy plugs to obd1, using obd1 injectors, and deleted the injector resistor box by cutting the plug and soldering all the wires together... I know for a fact i ran the 4-wire 02 sensor wires wrong because im getting a code 41 (o2 sensor heater), and code 20 (electronic load detector)... So heres the problem! the car wont start... It will crank over and start for a split second, and usually on the third time trying to start it finally starts for about 2 seconds and then dies again... i dont know the history of this motor, but i tried 2 different distributors (one i know works for sure) and still having the same problem. I also tried 2 different ecu's to see if one was bad. I checked all the fuses as well. The engine is getting fuel and spark... could one of these check engine lights have something to do with this? any help would be awesome... i searched the code 20 and it seems to be a broad spectrum of problems.
