electrical prob

why is it that when i turn on my high beams, the highbeam light flickers (along with other indicator lights on my dash), the temp skyrockets to "H", and the tachometer lags/starts to get a wobbly needle. wth?

Sounds like a bad ground or even the beginning signs of a failing alternator.

okay. i will check those things out. any other ideas out there i should keep in mind?
