I was just wondering if anybody has put a s372 on a ram horn manifold on a eg. iv'e always seen them on topmount manifolds and want to know before i buy the turbo.

 

I believe IPG is running a 42r or 372r on a ram horn.

I will have one on my bottom mount which is kinda like a ramhorn..

 

except that your manifold was made to fit a 372/42r, most t4 ramhorns are not

 

I'm well aware of that.... A ramhorn can be made to fit a s372 without a doubt. Does a company have ramhorns on their shelf designed to fit that turbo? Chances are No but it can certainly be made.

 

I had a s372R on a full-race ram horn manifold, but now i have the s372r on a divided bttm mount manifold.

yea the angle is pretty good, the car has a t70 turbo but want to change it to a s372.

They dont have a price listed for them on their site. didnt think they were being sold yet.. Id like to do that, but their top mount is so cheap now, depends on your price.

 

Its actually more than the topmount because of the bends. However, I would give it to you for less than the would sell it to you for. Whatever price they quote you take 100 off that. Its brand spanken new. PM me if its something you'd wanna discuss. Its gonna be awhile until my car is done so it makes no difference to me.

 

I got a quote from FR on that bottom mount and I had to laugh, bought a Topmount instead and it sucks because I really wanted the bottom mount.

Not to mention it was "introducted" a year ago and is still not in production, I wonder what the issue is.......

 

Its because the price is high and they're aware of that. The reason they haven't put a price is because, like you, most people will LOL. It costs Full-Race more to build that manifold so they must price it accordingly.

 

^^^ For conversation purposes since when was FR shy about selling parts that costs alot more than their competition? I honestly dont think thats the issue, a few extra bends and a few extra welds dont cost a few hundred dollars IMO, I think its something else......
