Icon6 B18A header Fit a B18B

Alright so i just purchased a B18A DC header from a Friend
And thought it would fit on my B18B since they are both B18's

I bought a new gasket for it too
And i line them up together and not matching up

I also found out that the B18B A-Pipe matches up with the B18A

lol... you have to flip the gasket....

if look at the picture you'll see that on the bottom row of holes... one is higher than the other..

looks like its not going to fit either way... i would return it and get your money back. if you dont have a honda dealership you can go to, buy an oem one from hondaparts.com or inlinefour.com. oh btw, did you buy the exhaust manifold gasket for the b18b or b18a? remember, you get what you pay for

b18a or B18b... what does it matter really?

like stated above all b-series header flanges are the same.

and here's a picture to prove my point of having the gasket facing the correct way...

in the picture the OP posted... the gasket obviously matches the gasket in the picture below...

notice the bottom leftmost stud and how i said it was higher than the rest.

what a nice guy, took the time to take pictures and everything. you said it chief. wasnt trying to undermind you, sorry. i figured maybe he got a hold of one of those autozone like quality parts that has fitment issues. its happened to me in the past with a thermostat. never do that again. OP, please disregard what i said earlier.

:werd: i've used fel-pro gaskets for the exhaust manifold (both the metal and fiber gasket) and other exhaust related gaskets without a problem...

i even re-used them once without a problem.

i don't really see why you would return it and then try and order it online and wait for it to be shipped...

awww man, that was a perfectly good gasket. oh well, Fel-pro has been making gaskets for a looong time. i have also used fel-pro parts. sometimes a problem you have can be something so small its easily overlooked. wasnt even really a problem, all you had to do was flip it over. my bad on that advice man. ya live and learn.
