Icon2 Does spray can mold release gel exist? Ttrying to fiberglass copy my headlight lens.

I'm trying to make a mold of my EF headlight lens which is made of glass. Before I just go laying resin and fiberglass directly onto the glass, is there a mold release gel/spray that I can/should use? I've found plenty of stuff for pro shops that they sell by the gallon, but none of it says it works for glass. Anyone done this before?
Thanks

i think you can use vasoline. im sure there are cheep alternatives than a pro shop has to offer. maybe if you masked the whole thing with painters tape, or spray foam on the glass with a release agent of course and then when its dry carefully remove the foam from the lens so that the foam is now a negative mold and then lay your fiberglass in there to make the insert that you want. that is what im going to try out when i get to that stage in my crx build. it would hurt to try right? peace
