New pistons
Hey guys, I just picked up a set of RBB (TSX) pistons and rods for my K24a4... This will be my first engine rebuild so that's why I opted to getting used pistons and rods. I just want you guys to take a look at what I got and let me know if you see anything wrong or if there's anything I should do to them before I install them. Thanks HT

did you check for cracks before you posted this. or measured for out of roundedness on the big end. we cant do a complete once over on it via internet. but lookin a it from the pictures i saw a nick on the top collar a piston and one on the skirt of another. not sure if that was the same piston. other than the ones you showed looked clean and in well shape.

thats a small nick and its not in the worst place. im guessing a machinist could smooth it out some so there is no shards . as long as no abrasions stick out or gashes on your skirts you should be ok. ive pulled pistons out of my dirt bike that looked worse than that and reused them. but this is a two stroke engine were talkin about so those things get replaced quite often. hope you plan on tossing those rings out and getting your $hit rehoned.
