Default The Blue Bucket build thread (RSX turbo)

well as i built this thing i didnt get all the pictures but this is what i got so **** it.

picked up an 04 type s early last september (08) bone bone bone stock (put the foglights in like the first week..)

from there i basicly just drove it bone stock untill winter time, exept for a few little things i got (injen sri, 10k H.I.Ds, 5 zeign blue extended lugs) i think thats it.

around december after research i liked the HKS Hi power exhaust, so i picked that up.. as well as a few other goodies.. (sk2 gold lca's, progress 24mm sway bar, tein basic full coilover set up, jdm k20 type r VC, jdm badges front and rear h, type r, and integra, seibon c/f hood, jdm dc5 type r center console)

still ridin stockies so i was on the look out for some legit wheels and then i had my mind set on the DC5 type r wheels (white) and got them, and scooped up a PRR fuel rail too (junk) and password jdm hood dampers

and installed all the **** coils lcas and all..

needed wheel spacers miserably so i picked up those too.. 24mm i belive

clutch fried in like april so got a competiton stg 2 and a competition light weight fly wheel.

funny funny that lasted like a month and went to because who installed it didnt use my new throw out bearing.. so i had bigger plans and picked up a competition stage 4 clutch.

next came KPRO.. car looked nice but slow as **** so i got but raped for that

that brings us up to about may where i finaly said these ugly headlights need to go and stopped being cheap and bought the black outs.

and i guess that takes us up to recently were i said hey im sick of my car being REAL slow so ill try to pick it up a little bit..

bought a greddy turbo kit, rc 750cc injectors, switched my junk fuel rail to a golden eagle one, RBC intake manifold, greddy type rs BOV, walbro 255 fuel pump, harmin manuel boost contoller and thats all ican think of off my head.

numbers arent very satisfieing.. 265whp.. now that was with the oem plugs witch were shot and it needs a 3 inch exhaust bad.. so boost was all over the place.. when i get that fixed up it should be between 280 and 300.. nothing crazy but a fun daily

You have the wrong lug nuts. Get some OEM ones before your wheels fall off or you damage the rim.

But I like your DC5!!! Has some sweet mods and on the turbo build.
Id put a jacket on the turbo since its really close to the VC. You dont want more heat build up on your motor than it already has.

[QUOTE]

That. and your tires look like rubber bands. Oem wheels=oem lugs. after market wheels=after market lugs, or you can just run it and find out what happens...

thanks for the feed back guys.. i agree with all of you on the tires being way to skinny.. i bought these wheels off someone with those tires and they were brand new and i didnt want to mess with them just yet because they were so new.. and yea the tapered seat lugs arent good for oem wheel im gonna have to get rid of those. these tires dont hook up for **** but when i need them i have a set of drag radials mounted on some slips..

thanks for the comments all constructive **** is welcome help me pull out the potential in this

definately a sick car - i like it alot

maybe its just cause i'm in a foul mood but you need to appreciate what you have more, i've had nothing but 130 hp cars for like 5 years and i would be set for LIFE with a car that nice

and for the record a RSX Type S is NOT a slow car
