I have a h22a vtec with only 85k i was sitting at a stop light and my car started reving up to about 2k rpm then droping back down to 1 and just kept doing that so i turned my car off and tryed to start it back up and it woulnt start until like the 5th try. after it started it kept reving up and down. once i got on the highway it drove fine for about a mile the everytime i tryed to give it gas it backfired. when i got of at the next exit it died and i had to start it up again so i drive it a couple of blocks to my work and went out a couple hrs later and it started right up. drove it and seems to drive fine. this happened one other time about 2 weeks ago i got off the highway and tryed to give the car gas and it just wouldnt go and it died, but it started up after a couple trys and then drove fine until today. any idea whats going on with my car? i dont want to take it to a shop because last time i took it they charged me 100 just to tell me everything else thats wrong with the car like tires and tie rod and stuff but didnt even tell me whats going on with this issue. so i dont want to waste another 100 for them to tell me they dont no. if anyone has any ideas or had this same problem before please let me no.
