Default EF HID Retrofit options. Need suggestions.

Is this a lost cause? I'm used to HID lights that are in my STi. Driving my EF civc at night seems like driving with no light what so ever. Is there any options with the antique glass lenses and a HID retro fit?
Thanks

I you would either have to purchase a jdm front end because the jdm headlights are plastic. only problem is dealing with the fluted lenses. Or they make aftermarket projectors for the crx that might work You would take out the crappy projector and retro in a oem projector or your choice.

It would be a shame to buy the JDM lights only to hack them up. I thought about the ebay lights but not sure of what projector would be a good fit. I was hoping something could be done with the factory lenses, since they're glass i'm sure nothing can be done.

yeah its a tuff call, if you bought the ebay ones and took out the projector first then you could match a oem one to the size of the old one. there is a lot of info at hidplanet for projector sizes and stuff like that. They may have that here, I don't know I was a member there first. I really don't think you could do anything with the glass housings on the us civics.

A few people have sanded the glass down, its obviously alot more work. Either go aftermarket or sand down JDM, its not a shame its just another headlight. Once you go HID you never want to go back. My work van has sealed beams and I HAVE to use the high beams to see anything. Its funny, they are so dim I dont even get flashed.
