d-series tranny unknown not stock for sure
When I bought my car I know that the tranny had been changed, but all it says is L-3 and that doesn't tell me much because don't all 5-speed d- series say L-3?
So maybe I could get a idea by telling you me speed at a set RPM and u can compare.
In 5th gear at 4000 rpm I'm going 82.5 mph.
how does that compare to your d-series at 4000 rpm?

The Si at 82mph sits ~4100 RPM and the ZC is ~4200 RPM at 82. This will differ as I used the stock 13" tire size for a honda. If you go to the link below, put in the tire size, and choose the Si or ZC, it will show you are what rpm you are sitting at at what speed.

Thanks alot for that info I'm positive now that I have a si transmission because when I shift at 7500 rpm it matched up perfect for the MPH with that chart.
