To the point: Does the CB and CD accord outer tie rod interchangeable?? Where I live, there are no listing for CD accord but there are for CB accord, just wodering if the CB's would fit before buying...



Story: Hi guys, as some of you would know that my car got defected by cops after a week of having fun with the turbo. After bringing it out to the inspection, they pick out that there is an excess movement on the left front wheel, steering wise. The outer tie rod boot was split both sides 2 months ago and I replaced it myself but it seems that the ball joint it self gave away now.

Found the answer after few phone calls and search on online parts list.

NO THEY ARE NOT THE SAME, ONLY CD5/CD7/CD9 ARE THE SAME

For those who lives in downunder, you can buy the aftermarket outer tie rod assembly from ONLY Pedders suspension for $124 a pair. (Otherwise you can go genuine for $135 each side)

 

Have you checked ebay? I say a kit for
inner tie rods
outer tie rods w/ ball joints,
lower ball joints
upper control arm w/ ball joints

for only 80 buxs new...

O.E brand for $80 That is cheap. Is O.E. Brand the name of the parts company? I doubt that they are actually Original Equipment Manufactured O.E.M parts? I wouldn't go too cheap when it comes to your suspension. You'll probably end up replacing them every couple of years and end up costing you more in the end......

 

I don't know about the name of the company but I have their upper control arms with ball joints and haven't had any issues whatsoever. i have had them for about 10,000 miles.

 

I'm still on my factory O.E.M. suspension @ 180,000 miles. I do have one upper BJ that needs to be replaced though.
