Car will not start. Main Relay
Hi everyone.
Today I took out my main relay and one of the wires broke from the main relay harness plug. I tried to get another wire to make like a bridge connection from the wire to the harness plug. Then I tried to start my car. The car only cranks. Then I left the car ignition on the ON position then I took that wire and touched it with the harness plug and I hear the relay click. Is my relay burnt out?
Any help would be nice. Thank you

Really? I've been taking it out for like the past 5 months and nothing has happened until now. Now that the wire snapped and I tried to stick it back in to start the car.
Well I just checked it the car again and I believe that the black wire that got disconnected was the fuel pump one. I didn't hear any pressure from the fuel rushing to the front of the car. The black wire has little silver marks on it. I went to check my fuel pump and it had the same silver marks. So I turned the key in the "ON" position where I saw my battery light, break, chk engine, and other lights turn on and I put the wire in. I heard the relay click and move.

I had some issues with mine not too long ago,my teg wouldn't start, just crank, we thought it was the gas pump, I replaced that, nothing ,so I replaced the main relay, nothing, so we tried another distributor, that fixed the problem, now I could hear the gas pump running,I asked a Honda tech, he said , if the main relay, ignator, or ignition coil are bad can cause the gas pump not to kick on.
I don't know if that would be the main relay, cause mine was clicking as well, and the pump woudn't work, have you check for spark?Maybe when the wire came loose you shorted something,oh also check the ignition fuse,i think it's at the bottom row,the 3th one from the center console the left, mine kept blowing it cause whatever was wrong with the distributor.
Good luck I know it's anoying,I was very close to give up on my car.

pull one of the spark plug wires off of the spark plug and put a screw driver inside of the wire then put the screw driver on a bolt have a friend crank it and if you have spark youll see the spark but most likely it wont cause the wire is broke i would go to the pick and pull and cut the plug off a car and rewire it back on and use some heat shrank when you rewire it
Fixed now.
I just went to Kragens and bought some female spade connectors. I extended the black wire and put it in and still no ignition. Then I checked all the fuses under the dash. Then I went under the hood to check the fuses and my ECU fuse was blown. I replace that, now the car starts up.
Thanks for the help.
