so i got a dash from a friend of mine for free since my ef dash was already cracked to hell. do i have to remove my ef a/c system in order to install the dash? or will i have to chop the dash a little bit? reason i ask is because i was fitting it into the mounting points but the center piece was hitting one of the vents

Check out this link, there is a guy that did it, but he said the door panels are destroyed, nothing fit correctly, as you can see in the picture. It doesn't really look worth it, the EF chassis is to boxy to have a more round dash inside.

IMO it doesn't look right in the car and kills the entire interior look of an EF.
