'91 Accord heater won't shut off.
Drove the Accord to work for the 1st time today. Was wondering if it would put out good heat this winter, I believe it will as it is stuck on
! Got pretty damn toastie real quick. I assume the valve is electrically operated, is this a common problem ? Which is the most likely the rheostat (switch) or the valve ? Wasn't so bad coming in because it was cool and I just rolled the windows down but it is supposed to warm up and rain this PM which will really BITE as the AC isn't working either. Got a bearing going out in the accessory drive too sounds like, wasn't making noise when I left the house but was when I pulled in. Alternator, compressor or idler, oh well gotta expect stuff like that when they've been parked for any length of time.

If it's like my old '92, the heater's temp is controled by a rotary ****. Pull the **** off and check if the shaft part of it is broken. A common problem. About $4 at the dealer, sometimes free.
Give that man a ceegar !
That was it. Thanks!!!!!!!
Kind of surprised it's a rotary cable control, felt just like a potentiometer or rheostat. Not complaining, the simpler the better.
