my 5th gear shift fork is bent, so i swapped out the tranny this weekend. after bolting everything back together, i started up the car and it idle lumpy and would not rev up when i push the throttle. i double check all hoses and connections and everything looks like they were in place. there was no CEL and i looked around for about 2 hours and couldn't find anything. finally i thought it might be a bad TPS sensor, so i pulled the plug out and the engine didn't react at all. i thought that was weird, so i pulled MAP sensor plug and then notice the two plugs are the same. then i notice i put the TPS and MAP sensor plug on backward because they were close together.
being a genus that Honda is, i would think that the two sensor next to each other would have different plug ends, just like very where else under the hood.
i've done many tranny swap and this is the first noob mistake i've made. i know that i will never make this mistake again.
EDIT:
oppss.....
you're probably thinking why the heck i pull the TPS and MAP plugs when doing tranny swap. i forgot to mention that i pull the intake manifold off at the same time to take out the Hondata IM gasket. with the IM off, it was so easy to get to the two starter bolt.

there were people posting on the s2ki forum that they had problem with these melting and leaking coolant into cylinder #4 and causing engine failure (mainly for track use). i took mine off last weekend and found that the coolant hole was a little stretched out. i didn't want to risk it blowing out while on track.
