k swap into 2000 ex coupe!
hey so my dad has a 02 rsx-s that he doesnt drive anymore, he said i can buy it from him for 700$. so in my head this is a GREAT deal. im about to get a kswap and EVERYTHING i need to swap it myself for 700 right?!!!! and yeah i know i could drive the rsx but the k20 in my civic would be WAY funny/faster and cooler imo.(rsx's are still sick but im a civic kid)
so my question is, can i take EVERYTHing off the rsx-s and just swap it onto my civic(axles,shifter,tranny,mounts i mean EVERYTHING i would have to buy for a kswap). what do i need to replace if anything.
and before anyone gives me **** ive been trying to find a thread with this info since 7, couldnt find anything so i decided to make one

Not trying to be a dick but youre a dumbass... I cant believe you want to swap a motor from Type-S that looks 1000x better than a Civic into a Civic. Thats a fail right there, just drive the RSX.

00 ej6 owner here awaiting k-swap... i dont have an 02 rsx sitting and waiting, but if i did, i'd do the same and swap it. If it were 05+ then i'd call you a dumbass too, but if i had a choice between my body and an 02 type-s i'd take my em1'd out body any day. If you think it's worth the extra hassle to disassemble and swap then go for it. At least part out the rsx and get some extra cash out of it.

and no you cant swap everything over... drive the rsx save up a just buy a k20 from a totaled car or something, dont ruin it,
also this swap generaly costs 4-8k maybe even more.

i'd take that rsx-s asa daily drive and sell the civic. there iws alot of downtime in these swaps, new mounts needed, kpro or standalone ecu etc.
buy your dads car sell the civic, spend the money for school.
its not impossible just difficult.
i support your decision to swap in the k, but saying rsx is slow, heavy, and overrated? now i would have to call you a dumbass.my buddy's 320whp dc5 would say otherwise. of course it's heavier than an em1 body, but what car today isn't. that's what the extra power is for.

a stock rsx type s bearly has more power then a b series and your paying thousands more, for noithing, i have seen ls/b20.vtecs kill rsxs....

I say go for it you can leave the RSX the way it is for now till you get all the things you need to do the swap and then just sell the shell you should pull some money for that, hey do what you want to do its your life your money and dream you do it son
