Default A1 block with type r pistons question

I have a b18a1 block with type r pistons. My question is what head should I put on. I want to just put an ls head on for now. Could I use just a stock b1 head or what? Cause I know the pistons would raise the compression. Thanks.

If you have a choice, a vtec head would be the better head(more flow=more power). But you can run a non vtec head in the meantime if you want to..

Yeah I was just wondering if having a stock ls head with p73 pistons would make it run badly.
